ABOUT WRESTLING

The WYSI wrestling program is for all boys and girls in grades K-5. Wrestling will teach the fundamentals of folkstyle wrestling while having fun.  It will help with balance, strength, and coordination.  No child will be required to participate in the tournaments, however, it is encouraged.  There will be 5-7 wrestling tournaments aimed at beginner wrestlers in Jan-March.  We will also schedule at least 2 dual meets as well.  Wrestling and Basketball seasons DO NOT overlap so students can do both!

Registrations are OPEN!! 

Parent meeting:  October 27, 2008 at 6:30pm in the Middle School wrestling room. 

Practice is at the middle school, west gym, upper level north. They will be on Tues. and Thurs from 6-7pm.

If there is no school or school is called due to weather on a regularly scheduled practice day, there will not be practice.
