2012 Softball Tentative Schedule

January 1st- March 8th, 2012: Registrations are open

March 12: 12U Evaluations (5:30 - 6:30)  

March 12: 10U Evaluations (6:30 - 7:30) Please arrive at 6:00 pm to sign in 

March 12: 8U Evaluations (7:30 - 8:30) Please arrive at 7:00 pm to sign in

Note: All Evaluations are in the Middle School West Gym

March 16: 8u, 10u, and 12u DRAFT NIGHT

March 19: Practices begin

April 14: OPENING DAY!!!!

April 25: Picture Day 

May 20: All-Star Tryouts, 8U 1:30-3pm and 10U 3-4:30.  At Monon Trail Fields

June 6-9th: In-house Tournament

June 11-15th: County Tournament

In-House season should be finished by June 15th.

All-Star season should be finished by July 31st.

Please plan summer vacations accordingly!!

 WYSI Sponsors 4 Softball Leagues:

12U is open to girls ages 11 & 12.  This is a competitive, open participation league.  Emphasis is on further skill development, sportsmanship, knowledge of the game, and having fun.  Our goal is to start preparing for high school level softball.  This is a competitive, open participation league. 

10U is a league for girls ages 9 & 10.  Players take over pitching duties in this league.  Emphasis is on further skill development, sportsmanship, knowledge of the game, and having fun.  This is a competitive, open participation league.

8U is a league for girls ages 7 & 8.  Players receive equal playing time, with the emphasis on learning the game, sportsmanship, proper skill development, and having fun.  This is a competitive, open participation league.

Instructional is an in-house tee ball / coach pitch league for 4, 5 & 6 year olds. Playeers will have an opportunity to hit a coach's pitch and then hit off a tee as needed.  Emphasis is on learning the game, sportsmanship, and having fun.  Parents are encouraged to participate.
