Prior to and during the football season, the WYSI FB pages will be updated with the most current information.  Scroll down on this tab for all of the latest news, information, and calendar events.  Check back often as new information is added frequently.

WYSI and it's coaches have, and will continue, to view player safety with the utmost importance. To continue with the proactive approach, the WYSI FB program has added directors for Equipment and Safety.  Our Equipment director will ensure that all equipment is properly inspected and train coaches for proper fit of protective equipment.  The Safety director will train coaches on identifying injury, establish rules for player safety and stay abreast of latest state legislation concerning athlete safety.

April 2012

Starting April 14th - Speed, Conditioning and Agility Training

Pre-Season Speed and Agility training with Coach Robinson and Coach Hauser.  Works on conditioning, speed & agility for football and all sports.  Focus age groups are (incoming) 5th/6th graders, but younger ages are welcome (support coaches are needed!).

Starting Saturday April 14 through July 28 (except Memorial day weekend)

Saturdays- 8:00AM @ Centennial Hill (conditioning and agility)

Sundays- 6:00PM - 8:00PM @ Shamrock Springs Elementary (football skills training)

Spring Football (Grades 5, 6, 7 & 8) with Varsity FB Coaches & Youth Coaches Clinic

June 16 - IJFA 7 on 7 Football Tournament @ North Central High School

There will be one team from each 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grades to compete in this middle school 7 on 7 tournment. This is a great opportunity for WYSI to compete against other schools!  This is for skills players only.  Cost will be $20 per player.

Robo Camp Information: Robo Camp is a 3 week period where travel coach, Mark Robinson (Robo), runs conditioning and drills prior to 5th / 6th travel team tryouts and in house team selections.

July 23 - 27, Robo Camp -2nd Week

2nd Week of Robo Camp for 5th & 6th Grades. 5th/6th Travel Team is picked at the end of this week.

1st Week of evaluations for 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grades.

July 30 - Aug 3

2nd Week of evaluations for 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades.

Also, catch-up week for any late 5th / 6th grades.
