There are some very exciting developments for the upcoming 

2008-2009 WYSI Cheer Program!

We are currently working feverishly on plans to bring you a cheer program that is fun, affordable, and better organized than seasons past. 

Some important things to know:

1.  You have two new contacts for the cheer program.  Please don't hesitate to contact either of us with questions, comments, or ideas!  Our contact information is at the bottom of this page. 

2.  The management of the Travel Squads will be transferred to Speed Athletics (formerly Cheer World).  More information will be coming soon regarding this transition.  Through our partnership with Speed Athletics, every child enrolled in the WYSI cheer program will be entitled to a discount on programs at Speed Athletics!  Check them out! 

3.  Cheerleading registrations for the WYSI football season will be underway soon!  Check back frequently for more information!  You will be able to register online or you can attend one of two registration sessions at Dick's Sporting Goods at Clay Terrace.  They will be June 12th and June 26th, 7:00-8:00pm.  Mark your calendars and tell a friend to come too!

4.  We will be hosting a Summer Camp for all girls registered for the football cheer season.  The camp will be held 8/4/08-8/8/08 from 5:30-7:00pm, location TBD. 

5.  As always, we will need volunteer coaches to help make this program a success.  We are looking for moms/dads, older siblings, aunts/uncles, grandmas/grandpas, or family friends who may have a little extra time and energy to contribute to our program.  No experience is necessary.  As your new commissioner, I will put forth every effort to make this season informative, fun and easy for you too!  This can be a very cherishable time to spend with your child!!
