2012 Rain Out Procedures
Rain during the
Weekday
If rain occurs on a weekday when 6 PM games are scheduled, a
decision to cancel will be completed by 4 PM on that day. If rain occurs after 4 PM, it will be a game
time decision.
Rain on Friday
Night into Saturday Morning
If rain occurs on Friday night that would prevent us from
playing Saturday morning, a decision will be made at 7:30 am on Saturday
morning. Games will be canceled and
rescheduled. It is possible that morning
games could be canceled and afternoon games will be played, this will be based
on field conditions and if we feel we can get them ready to play for afternoon
games.
Rain on Saturday
or During Games
If rain occurs on a Saturday during games or during games in
the week, the Umpire on Field #1 will decide if it is safe for us to play. All games on other fields must follow the
lead of this game. Games can be
postponed for no more than 1 hour; otherwise it will be rescheduled and will resume
where the game was postponed. Keep a
good book!
Lightening Safety Policy (adopted November 14, 2011)
A. If
lightning is seen in the area, all players, spectators, coaches and referees
must take immediate shelter. In most
cases this will be a vehicle.
B. If no
further lightning activity is observed after 30 minutes, practice or play may
resume.
C. Each
time lightning is observed, there shall be a 30 minute waiting period of no
lightning activity before play can resume.

Thank you to all of last year's sponsors
WYSI sponsors 5 in-house baseball leagues and 7 travel teams. The in-house leagues range from instructional coach pitch to competitive player pitch. All in-house leagues will focus on teaching the players the fundamentals of the game. The in-house leagues are open participation (i.e.; no tryouts). However, WYSI does conduct evaluations in an attempt to keep teams evenly matched. In order to play up a league, players must attend evaluations. If you have questions about what league your child should play, please contact the Baseball Commissioner before registering.
The in-house leagues are arranged as follows:
