Long-time WYSI volunteer and supporter Mark Robinson passes

WYSI and the entire Westfield community lost one of its most dedicated supporters on Monday. Mark Glenn "Robo" Robinson, 51, of Westfield, passed away on the morning of Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mark was a 1984 graduate of Westfield High School and was a firefighter for the City of Carmel Fire Department for 18 years.  Simply known as “Robo", to most, Mark coached the Westfield 5th and 6th grade travel football teams for 16 years and loved kids; the impact he made on their lives will long live on.  For years he ran what became known as the ROBO Football camp each summer for the young players to hone their skills prior to the season.

WYSI has had many outstanding volunteer leaders in our history, but Robo was at the top of that list.  The quality and quantity of what he gave to the kids was inspiring and has set a benchmark for all of us to strive for.
